How can I print a helical wheel?

Java Applet Instructions and caveats:

  • Enter your primary sequence in the space provided, using the one letter protein code (I think capitals look best)
  • The residues are color coded according to their charge.
  • Currently, sequences longer than 28 residues are not drawn well

How can I print out a helical wheel?

1. Enter the sequence (1 letter amino acid code) in the text box below.
2. Select shading and axis options (the defaults are reasonable if you are not sure what you want).
3. Click on the "Get Image" button.

Enter your sequence:

Shade residues
Axis:
Direction: (going into the page)

The Postscript helical wheels are still avalible

The script is slower and has fewer drawing options, but if you must use it use the folling link:old helical wheel page.
